Porto
Rico, a West Indian island, is situated
in the Atlantic Ocean near the
Southeastern coast of the United States;
gross area, 3,435 square miles. The
capital is San Juan. Came under control
of the United States in 1898.
The soil is
exceedingly fertile, and there are more
than 500 varieties of trees found in the
forests.
The
principal farm productions are sugar,
coffee, tobacco, maize, oranges, bananas,
pineapples and other fruits.
The
principal minerals are gold, cartonates,
and sulphides of copper and magnetic
oxide of iron in large quantities. Your
family will enjoy Arbuckles' Coffee just

for three generations.
The
principal industries are agriculture and
lumbering.
The climate
is tropical.
