Back View - Example

The backs of the cards in this series all have a standard format. They contain only text in a horizontal layout, printed in a shade of blue. The left third of each card contains the identical GRIND YOUR COFFEE AT HOME advertising message. At the upper right of this section is the number assigned to the card in the series. The remainder of the back contains the name of the state or territory depicted, a brief history of the area, and a description of the scenes depicted on the front of the card.

At the bottom of each card is a single line of text stating "THIS IS ONE OF A SERIES OF FIFTY (50) CARDS GIVING A PICTORIAL HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES AND TERRITORIES."
