NOTE 2: I have seen this bird drawing in a folio published by Raphael Tuck around 1888 or 1889, entitled "Studies of Bird Groupings" (Series III), taken from original paintings by Hector Giacomelli. It is part of grouping No. 9 (as identified by TuckDB Ephemera).   I do not currently have an image of that grouping to display here, but it is virtually identical to the grouping shown in the Fidelia Bridges painting, below. I can only assume that Miss Bridges used the Giacomelli painting as the basis for hers, although hers bears no date.
